I call this two-ingredient naan because the only crucial ingredients are flour and yogurt, and at a push you can make perfectly good breads with just those elements. I urge you to include the tasty extras though, for delicious, freshly made breads that are excellent for carrying curry.

  • 250 g/9 oz/2 cups self-raising flour, plus extra for dusting

Method

  1. Combine the flour in a large bowl with the salt, nigella seeds and cumin seeds. Make a well in the middle, then add the yogurt, stirring with a wooden spoon at first to combine, then using your hands to bring it together into a dough.
  2. Tip the dough onto a lightly floured work surface, then knead by hand for 4–5 minutes, or until smooth. Divide into 6 equal piec
