These crumbly little shortbread cookies are fragrant with cardamom and vanilla and the sharp drizzle of dark chocolate just makes them feel luxurious. A treat for chai-time (or any time!).


  • 100 g/ oz/generous ¾ cup plain/all-purpose flour


  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C/400°F/gas mark 6. Line a large baking sheet with non-stick baking parchment.
  2. Combine the plain flour, gram flour and semolina in a large mixing bowl. Add the baking powder, vanilla bean paste, cardamom seeds and icing sugar, t
