The success of this easy, delicious kabob hinges on one important ingredient: Lebanese grenadine molasses, which is pomegranate juice reduced to a syrup. It can be found at stores that specialize in Middle Eastern foodstuffs. We have tried this recipe with bottled pomegranate juice from the health food store, but it is sour and thin, where the molasses is tart and thick. This kabob is the essence of sweet and tart, with a wonderful balance of flavors that accentuates the natural sweetness of the pork.
