This recipe is inspired by a number of different family-style meals I have had in the Veneto and Tuscany regions of Italy. I was really turned on by the idea of beans with seafood and think you will see why in this recipe when you feel the delicate crunch of each individual bean. I make this preparation a lot in the summer and my family likes to eat it alone or sometimes with a grilled fish.
