Heat the olive oil in a large conventional skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté until golden, about 3 minutes. Add the slivered sage leaves and diced tomatoes. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, to make a sauce. Add the beans and cook for 5 minutes longer. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve hot.
