  • About

This sweet yogurt dessert snack bears the unlikely name karga beyni, literally “crow’s brains” on account of its look—individual domes of yogurt crowned with various embellishments such as walnuts, hazelnuts, pistachios, figs, raisins, dried white mulberries, and drizzles of tahini and grape molasses. Grape molasses, also called pekmez, and dried white mulberries can be found at Middle Eastern stores.
