  • 1 cup (200 grams) raw short-grain brown rice
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil

Method

  1. In a saucepan, combine all the ingredients with 2 cups (480 milliliters) water. Bring to a boil, stir once, cover, and reduce the heat to very low. Cook until all the water has been absorbed by the rice, about 50 minutes.
  2. Uncover and stir again. Cover and let sit for 10 minutes before serving.
