For a Talented Mr Fox pop-up I wanted to make a sazerac-style drink that had fun, sweet elements like peanut butter and pretzels, but was in fact quite ‘grown-up’ and refined. This sounds like it is going to be really rich and sweet, when actually it’s a nutty, dry drink.

Method

Stir the ingredients in a mixing tin over ice. Strain into a chilled glass and garnish with the shiso leaf.
