This basic method of cooking cracked wheat works equally well with millet or rice. It makes for an aromatic side dish that would be good with any form of meat, poultry, or fish, but made in double batches, it can also work as the foundation for a vegetarian meal. It is easy to make and full of flavor. And, one of the things I find that is amazing about this dish is that innumerable heatings and reheatings don’t seem to do damage to the taste or the texture. It’s certainly worth keeping plen
