Although my first choice for cauliflower is an addition of roasted red peppers, you can flavor it with a variety of condiments and seasonings.


  • 1 head cauliflower
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice or white wine vinegar

  1. Cut the core from the cauliflower and separate the head into florets.
  2. Bring a medium-size pan of water to a boil and add the lemon juice (to prevent discoloration of the cauliflower) and then the florets. Boil until the cauliflower is cooked through yet firm, 3 to 4 minutes.
