A sauté of mixed fruit is a terrific, easy, and unusual dessert; the unexpected hotness of the fruit comes as a delicious surprise. For those who want their dessert even more luxurious, the addition of cold vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt adds to the textural contrast.

Ingredients

  • 2 peaches
  • 4 dark plums
  • ½ pint blueberries or raspberries

Method

  1. With a sharp knife cut the peaches in half, remove the pits, and thinly slice. Pit and quarter the plums. Rinse the berries.
  2. Melt the butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Stir in the jelly, then add the peaches and plums. Continuing to stir, sauté until the fruit is hot and the jelly syrupy, about 1 minute. Add the berries and remove the skill
