Along with steamed jam sponge, this has to be a childrens favourite. In fact, I think it’s a favourite for everyone. One of the pleasures of cooking is never allowing recipes to be over-strict. This pudding can have so many different textures and tastes added from walnuts and almonds to dates and orange zest – and many more.
