A simple vanilla ice cream is a wonderful base for all manner of variations. At Morito, we often serve it affogato style with a shot of espresso poured over the top. The variations that follow are also delicious.
Put the cream, milk, cinnamon and vanilla pod in a saucepan and gently bring to the boil. Remove from the heat, discard the cinnamon stick and vanilla pod and set aside.
