Juicy pieces of chicken and vegetables in a velvety sauce are encased in a crisp puff pastry rectangle. It’s a great way of using up leftover chicken and gravy from a roast or casserole (or left-over turkey), although the dish is so good I often poach chicken specially for it. Don’t be tempted to leave out any of the seasonings, which are what gives this dish its impact. For a family supper, you can also make this in a conventional round pie dish.
