This was how Nana got rid of the tomatoes that over-ran her glasshouse. There were only so many tomato sandwiches we could eat and nothing beats homemade tomato sauce. This one is tart and tangy – not at all like the usual sweet store-bought stuff. Serve with your barbecues or with anything wrapped in pastry and you are bound to impress!
