Sticky Chicken Thighs

In a cheffy way of which I’m not proud, I have previously always hated the idea of cooking with ketchup, but despite my snooty tendencies, I now have to admit that nothing else works quite like it for adding an instant sweet and sticky balance to these barbecue-style marinades. I now find myself so brazenly ensconced in the cult of ketchup that here I have embraced its swaggering joy in one of my sticky family heirloom recipes.
