Buriyani, though eaten with rice, isn’t to be confused with biryani, an elaborate rice dish. Buriyanis made with eggplant or pumpkin are perfect to serve a mixed group of meat eaters and vegetarians without making anyone feel obviously singled out. Kavabs made of meat or shrimp can be served separately to make everyone happy.
