Watermelons come into season exactly when you need them the most in Bombay. Just to look at one is refreshing. When it’s so hot that eating anything, even a piece of watermelon, is too hard to think about, this drink comes to the rescue. It’s perfect for a crowd because it pleases all ages and all preferences. Tipplers add liquor; the abstemious refrain. Try charanda from Mexico, cachaça from Brazil, or any white rum.
