How to make croûtons

Method

To make croûtons cut a slice of bread about 1 cm/½ inch thick and remove the crusts. Cut the bread into dice about 1 cm/½ inch square. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a pan and fry the cubes briskly, turning them over in the oil so each side becomes golden. (You might find it useful to use the sautéeing technique of shaking the pan quite violently.)
