Omit the pumpkin, tomatoes, basil and half the butter, and substitute 225 g/½ lb mushrooms, sliced and 100 g/4 oz/1 cup walnuts, freshly shelled and roughly chopped.
Fry the mushrooms over a low flame for about 8 minutes. Mix the walnuts with the rest of the ingredients and add to the mushrooms. Bake as before.
