An excellent sauce to have with plain steamed vegetables or pakora.


  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon curry powder
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 300 ml/10 fl oz/1ΒΌ cups water seasoning to taste
  • 150 ml/5 fl oz/Β½ cup plain yoghurt or sour cream


    Heat the oil in a pan and cook the curry powder for 1 minute. Add the lemon juice and water and simmer for 5 minutes. Season the sauce and then stir in the yoghurt or sour cream.
