Surprise yourself with the wonderful combination of flavours in this simple dessert. It may be made in advance or just before eating.


  • 5 bananas, thinly sliced
  • 350 g/¾ lb fresh dates, peeled and halved
  • 600 ml/1 pint/2½ cups Greek yoghurt
  • 2 tablespoons rose water


    Put alternate layers of bananas and dates in a bowl. Mix the yoghurt and rose water and pour on top.
