A treat for all the family. Although the sugar content is high, an occasional indulgence won’t do any harm.
Purée the figs. Mix the sugar, lemon and water and bring slowly to the boil, until the sugar has dissolved. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly. Cook until the mixture comes away from the sides of the pan. Transfer to a shallow dish, cool, and then cut into small squares and dust with icing sugar.
