This is more interesting than it sounds, especially as it is topped with low-fat sour cream. It is an excellent source of vitamins and minerals


  • 225 g/½ lb turnips
  • 225 g/½ lb parsnips
  • 225 g/½ lb celeriac
  • 75 ml/3 fl oz/½ cup Smetana/low-fat sour creamhandful parsley, finely chopped


    Scrub the vegetables and cut into 2-cm/1-inch chunks. Steam for 20 minutes. Mix the parsley with the Smetana/low fat sour cream, pour over the vegetables and serve.
