  • 2 quarts cubes of day-old bread with crusts removed
  • ½ pound sausage meat
  • ½

Method

  1. Preheat oven to moderate (350°F.).

  2. Spread the bread cubes on a baking sheet and bake until dried. Do not brown.

  3. In a skillet cook the sausage meat, stirring, until it loses color. Pour off most of the fat.
