  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons oil or bacon drippings
  • 1 red cabbage

Method

  1. Preheat oven to moderate (325°F.).

  2. Sauté the onions in the oil in a heavy stainless-steel or porcelainizediron casserole until tender.

  3. Add the shredded cabbage, apples, jelly, bay leaf, allspice berries, salt and pepper t
