Method

Mix one lightly beaten egg white with one cup sifted confectioners’ sugar and one-quarter teaspoon vanilla extract. Add more sugar, bit by bit, until the frosting will hold its shape when piped or spread. If the frosting becomes too thick, add extra egg white.
