When I started to write this cookbook, one of the first recipes that came to mind was my brother’s barbecued pork ribs, and this book would not be complete without it. A professional photographer by day and an avid foodie by night, my brother Ricardo Hara is also the family’s official barbecue chef in São Paulo. He loves to invite his mates around for a few beers and a Nikkei churrasco, and I have been lucky enough to attend his barbecues on many occasions when visiting Brazil.
