What is halwai-style, you may wonder? Halwai-style curries are an integral part of North Indian cuisine, particularly popular during celebrations likes weddings and religious festivals. These curries are named after "halwai”, traditional Indian confectioners who also prepare savoury dishes for special occasions.

This recipe is inspired by the curries made during celebratory feasts and I wanted to share it here.
