Go beyond Japanese cooking with your teriyaki sauce, and brush it over grilled salmon and steaks at the last moment.


  • 6 tbsp sake
  • 6 tbsp mirin
  • 6 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sugar


Combine sake, mirin, dark soy and sugar in a small pot. Heat over moderate heat, stirring, until sugar dissolves. Use now, or cool and keep refrigerated until use.
