  • 2 red onions
  • 100 g chillies in vinegar
  • 400 g minced meat
  • 400 ml tomato passata (sieved tomatoes)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 small tin red kidney beans
  • 3 tablespoons tomato sauce (ketchup)
  • Salt and pepper
  • 150 g grated gruyère cheese
  • 150 ml pouring cream
  • Corn chips, to serve

1 chopping board


Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Peel and finely chop the red onions.

Finely chop the chillies. Mix half of the chillies with the mince, onions, tomato passata, spices, beans and tomato sauce; season with salt and pepper.

Pour this mixture into a baking dish.

Mix the gruyère cheese with the cream and the rest of the chillies and cover the mince with this mixture.

Cook in the oven for 20 minutes. Serve with corn chips.
