Nothing could be simpler than this classic soup, rich with eggs and bright with lemon. My dad loved this dish and used to eat it for lunch every day at the little luncheonette, People’s, down the street from his place of business. I remember WPA murals on the walls, a long counter, and a few tables always filled with steelworkers on break from the mill across the street.
