  • About

There has never been a better use for leftover rice than nasi goreng, an Indonesian staple that usually includes ingredients like kecap manis (Indonesian sweet soy sauce) and tamarind, which can be hard to come by in Western grocery stores. To simplify this dish, I’ve taken some liberties with the ingredient list and come up with good substitutions, while keeping the full monty of spice, sweet-tart flavor, and vegetables.
