Every recipe has alternatives and this one certainly isn’t going to miss out! It’s a basic recipe for minced pork patties with the addition of black pudding. The black pudding gives a different texture to the dish and a lot more flavour.

As far as the alternatives are concerned, this recipe can be rolled into dumpling balls and braised with mushrooms, onions and red wine. Or go very British by braising them in beer and serving with spinach and mashed potatoes.
