Chips and French fries are readily available in all shapes and sizes. There are many good quality frozen fries around, but I don’t believe you can find any frozen chip that can beat good home-made fries. I use large jacket potatoes which will cool after pre-cooking and become tender without losing their potato texture. For each portion 1-1½ potatoes will be plenty.
