These biscuits have always been a favourite of mine, so I thought why not make some of my own? These can be used just as a basic biscuit or served with a pudding or ice-cream. There are also many combinations with this recipe: for example, chocolate chips can be added for some delicious chocolate and fruit cookies. The mix can also be made into small or large biscuits and even into small petits fours. Of course by leaving out the currants and zest you’ll have just a good shortcake
