Ingredients

  • 100 g ( oz/ cup) pine nuts
  • 150 ml (5 fl oz) pine nut oil
  • table salt, to taste

Method

Preheat the oven to 150°C (300°F/Gas 2). Place the pine nuts on a baking tray and toast until a deep golden brown colour. Cool to room temperature, then grind into a coarse paste using a mortar and pestle with the pine nut oil. Season to taste with salt. Store in the refrigerator until needed.
