Line a baking tray with baking paper. In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and golden syrup. Gently heat, stirring constantly until the sugar has dissolved. Increase the heat and bring to the boil. Continue boiling for 2 minutes. Stir occasionally, if necessary, to prevent burning. Remove from the heat.
