This spicy bread is enhanced by the aromatic and fragrant flavours of rich curries, chilli-based food, tandoori and barbecued meats, pickles and spicy dips. The shape we make this particular bread in resembles Madonna’s breastplates designed by Jean Faul Gaultier. It demands attention and asks to be eaten!

Ingredients

  • 500 g bread flour
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon

Method

  1. Mix the flour, salt and nigella seeds in the bowl of an electric mixer with a dough hook.
  2. Dissolve the yeast and sugar in the warm water, stir in the warm onion and the yoghurt and pour immediately into the flour. Knead with the dough hook on medium speed for 15 minutes.
