Bad Ischl, not far from Salzburg, was a favourite watering place among nineteenth-century Viennese aristocracy, including Emperor Franz Josef. These sweet and indulgent crescents are a speciality of a pastry shop in Bad Ischl, but they’ve been widely copied all over Austria. This version comes from Café Diglas in Vienna.
