Plunderteig is a perfect sweet and tender covering for small individual fruits like apricots, prune plums and tiny apples or pears. Here, the dough is wrapped around the fruit, unlike the puff pastry version, where the fruit is sandwiched between two layers of dough. This is excellent served with the Crème Anglaise that follows the recipe.
