Fettuccine di Trastevere

Trastevere is a very special quarter on the quiet side of Rome’s Tiber River. Its name comes from its location: Tras (across) Tevere (Tiber). Romans say Trastevere is the most Roman of all neighborhoods in the Eternal City. Recently, Trastevere became somewhat chic and, in attempting to lure tourists and outside business to the area, has lost some of its charm. But not too much. It is still a pleasure to sit at a table in a small outdoor trattoria, drink a carafe of the delightful white win
