Certain dishes are named not for the ingredients that go into them but for the personalities surrounding them. This recipe was created and prepared by Antonia von Hirschberg for her friend Kiri Te Kanawa in March 1984. Miss Te Kanawa was appearing at the Metropolitan in her wonderful characterization of Richard Strauss’ Arabella.
