Method

Place a charlotte mold in the freezer to chill.

  1. Place the milk in a medium saucepan and bring to a low boil over medium-high heat. Using a small knife, split the vanilla bean lengthwise. Scrape the seeds from both sides and add to the milk along with the bean. Whisk well.
  2. Place the egg yolks in a mixing bow
