This time, the carrots are cooked. They are great alongside rich meats such as duck or gammon or pork. Initially, I evolved this method from Nesta Ramazani’s lovely recipe to get the smalls to eat carrots. It failed dismally in this respect (if you’ve got real children you’ll probably understand why, but I’m only a wicked step-mother and I try to make everything fun), but the larger lunchers amongst us loved it.
