In Iran, traditional ice-cream does not come in many flavours but rather in two colours. You can have white (plain) or yellow (saffron), garnished with pistachio slivers. Nor is it usually eaten at the end of a meal – pudding is a Western thing – but rather as a hot-weather treat, or to refresh summer visitors.
However, we like ice-cream lots.
