They use slightly different batters in fact, and so I have written them out as two distinct recipes (with another for the syrup). But they are rarely served apart.

Whilst I am a fairly hard-working girl, in truth I do not actually have time to sit up all night talking to the Simorgh and making cakes for our little emporium and so we buy ours from the very helpful Mr Amini, whose recipes you will find below.
