In Iran they eat aghil – sweet or salted mixed nuts and seeds – by the bucket-load. Naturally, we sell it in the shop. As the Brits aren’t too good with seeds that aren’t already cracked open, my British clientele have taken more to the sweet ‘silk trail mix’, which features only kernels of things, and easily manageable chunks of fruit.
