This creamy, garlicky hummus is totally addictive and so much better than anything you can buy premade at the grocery store. It’s always a hit on any mezze or crudités platter, and is a delicious way to add protein and flavor to sandwiches, wraps, and bowls.

Ingredients

  • 1 (14- ounce/400- g) can baby artichoke hearts, drained (see Note)

Method

Chop 3 artichoke hearts and place them in a small bowl with 1 tablespoon of the garbanzo beans. Set aside.

Place the remaining beans and artichokes in a blender or food processor and add the oil, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper, paprika, and cumin. Add 2 tablespoons of the bean cooking water or drained liquid from the canned beans. Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides a
