I’m always looking for ways to work amaretto and almonds into desserts. I love the versatility of almonds, and the flavor of amaretto is so complex that it works in many desserts. Of course, when they’re paired with chocolate the beauty of each is vividly amplified. The crisp shortbread crust makes it complete.

  1. Spoon the ganache into the prepared tart shell, smooth the surface with an offset spatula, and place the tart in the fridge to chill for 20 minutes.
